The Bailey Foundation hosted its launch party on Saturday December 8th to raise money for The Monarch School. The Matisse Bistro by Little Italy was host to this event that began with soft music and light dancing, pastries, waitered food trays, artists and an eventful photo booth, among others. While this night was focused on The Monarch School, to help support the kids during the one week a year that the organization closes, The Bailey Foundation is a new organization whose aim is to help kids and primarily does so by supporting three organizations focused on kids: The Monarch School, an organization who helps kids who are homeless or displaced, providing them with an education, food and shower and a good place to be. The International Children’s Cancer Foundation, whom helps raise funds to give a hope of life to kids with cancer and other treatable diseases who don’t have money to pay for treatment. Corazón de Vida Foundation, an organization that helps orphaned and abandoned children in Baja California. DJ Beatnicker began with soft music and changed tempos throughouth the night, always keeping people dancing and in a good mood. Artsits Vincent Gordon & Sean Dietrich from the Infusion Project did some live painting on canvas, each with his own unique style, form and color. A photo booth provided hours of fun for friends as they walked in the booth with colorful costume items and came out with a wonderful photo memory. Three lucky winners took home giveaways donated by sponsors which included a spa experience, Vodka and more. While this is the first BF event, the organization also promotes cultural events in town to help make an impact in both the arts and in these kids’ lives. They primarily operate through Facebook and ask for your “like” to be able to have a better reach that may help support them. Bailey Foundation founder, Amar Harrag, saw an idea grow from a project he had with a teddy bear that travelled the world taking photos, to developing this organization in favor of kids, all with the teddy bears name, Bailey, while keeping in mind that it is one of those symbols that will always help give comfort to a child at any moment in time. Congratulations to The Bailey Foundation, Monarch School and all who helped make this event a success!
